Jay vs LANDR
Master the song, or get it placed?
LANDR masters the song you’ve already finished. Jay makes the demo that gets it cut. They do different jobs, and many songwriters will want both.
What each tool is for
LANDR
An all-in-one platform for finished music: AI mastering, distribution to 150+ platforms, plugins, samples and collaboration, at a low price. If you have a finished track going to Spotify, LANDR is very good at it, and hard to beat on price per feature.
Jay
A path from rough vocal to pitch-ready demo to pitch. It tunes, comps, harmonizes and mixes your own vocal, packages the song for publishers and artists, and helps you find who to send it to.

FAQ
Do I still need LANDR if I use Jay?
If you also release songs to streaming platforms, yes. LANDR is strong at final mastering and distribution, and Jay is not trying to replace that. Jay covers the step before it: getting a rough vocal to pitch-ready, and the step after it for placements: pitching.
Can Jay replace a session singer or a mix engineer?
No. Jay keeps your own performance and gets a demo to pitch-ready quality fast. It is not a studio replacement, and judgment calls such as whether a vocal sits right for a genre can still benefit from a human ear.
Does LANDR fix a rough vocal?
Mastering processes the mix it receives. It can’t fix pitch problems, timing, harsh sibilance, uncontrolled dynamics or a poor recording. That is the stage Jay works on.
Who owns AI-assisted vocals?
Jay requires a consent agreement at sign-up confirming you own or control the vocal and song rights, and it works from your own recording rather than cloning another voice. A plain-language guide on AI-assisted vocal ownership is planned.
Does Jay guarantee placements?
No. Nobody can. Jay helps you make a stronger demo and a professional pitch package, and find the right people to send it to.
